Presenter Tim Wonnacott has been suspended from Bargain Hunt.
And it’s thought that the chances of the 62 year old getting his job back on the BBC show are “highly unlikely”.
Bosses decided to drop the star on Friday afternoon following a bust up with producers, according to The Sun.
A source told the paper: “Bargain Hunt comes across as a really upbeat and friendly show,
but off camera there is a lot of tension.
“Tim is very old school and definitely not afraid of voicing his opinion. He can come very close to the line.”
Earlier that day, Tim who has also appeared on Strictly tweeted a photo of himself outside the BBC’s central London headquarters.
Although exact details have not yet been revealed, it’s thought BBC bosses have launched an investigation.
Until all has been resolved, guest presenters have been drafted in to finish the remainder of the current series.
Speaking to the newspaper, Tim confirmed that he is no longer the host: “I am not doing Bargain Hunt at the moment for personal reasons.”
Tim competed in Strictly Come Dancing last year
The news comes just months after Jeremy Clarkson was sacked from Top Gear for assaulting producer Oisin Tymon.
Following his dismissal, the star is now preparing to host a new motoring series with former co stars Richard Hammond and James May for Amazon Prime.
